Harry Kane Announces Birth Of Daughter, Vivienne Jane

England football captain Harry Kane has announced the birth of his and his fiancée Kate Goodland’s second child.

Taking to social media, the footballer shared a picture of the three of them at the hospital, welcoming their new arrival – a baby girl called Vivienne Jane Kane.

Harry captioned the photo:

Our beautiful addition to the family! Vivienne Jane Kane. So proud of @kategoodersxx for having the most amazing water birth with no pain relief at all.

Vivienne is Harry and Kate’s second child after Ivy Jane, who is 18 months old.

After many congratulations from his followers, other fans of the footballer couldn’t help but crack some top football bants at the young dad.

One Spurs fan wrote:

Probably only addition we will see at spurs this transfer window!! Congrats though Harry great news

While others spotted a gap o the pitch that they think the new arrival could fill:

Can she play centre mid?

Can she play on the wing?

The ever reliable internet also managed to spot something in the photo that’s completely beside the point but nevertheless deemed worthy to comment on during such an occasion – Harry’s choice of outfit.

Outfit choice aside, congratulations to both Harry and Kate!

Earlier this year, in case you missed it, Harry Kane was in Russia for the World Cup. Though it didn’t end in ultimate victory for England, the 25-year-old did bring home the highly coveted Golden Boot award for most goals scored at the tournament.

Harry managed to score six times in his games in Russia, putting him two goals ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Denis Cheryshev.

Kane scored twice in England’s first match against Tunisia, a hat-trick against Panama and a penalty against Colombia in the last-16. And despite not scoring in the quarter final against Sweden or the semi-final against Croatia, it was still enough to achieve the Golden Boot award.

This makes Harry the second English player ever to win the Golden Boot, along with Gary Lineker who also scored six goals at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

Lineker shouldn’t be too worried though, he still holds the overall English World Cup record with ten goals – six in Mexico and four at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.

I’m sure Harry has already got his sights set on Qatar in 2022, when his daughters will be a few years older and he’ll once again have the opportunity to rack up his tally of World Cup goals.

Ever the gracious sportsman, Lineker took to Twitter to congratulate Harry on his amazing achievement.

He said:

Congratulations to @HKane on winning the golden boot. Welcome to the club, young man.

At this moment, though, I’m sure Harry is more focussed on raising his daughters than his number of international goals. For now, anyway.
