We’re just over a month away from the fight of the century no-one though would ever happen: Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor.
During their press our, the two have been at each others necks and then some.
In the past week, McGregor has been accused of making racist remarks to Mayweather and his cronies, while the American boxer was heard using homophobic language at their closing London promo show.
When it comes to fighting, some are concerned whether McGregor will be able to control himself among the limitations of the sport.
UFC president Dana White has made it clear the consequences that would incur. And it involves money.
He told USA Today Sports:
He would get sued beyond belief if he does anything but hit Floyd Mayweather with his hands to the head and body.
It would be very bad. That can’t happen. That can’t happen. Theres actually language in the contract that that can’t happen.
Although McGregor is set to pocket an eight figure sum from the August 26 fight, White warned he would ‘100 percent’ put that at danger if he were to put Mayweather in a chokehold.
He added:
Forget about the contract, Mayweather would just sue McGregor. And it would destroy Conor’s life because Mayweather would win… Conor is a bit of a wild man. But he likes money as much as Floyd does. If he wants Floyd to have all his money, that’s the way to do it.
We’ll have to wait and see guys.
