BBC SportArsene Wenger can finally say he has beaten Jose Mourinho after Arsenal lifted the Community Shield in the Premier League curtain raiser.
The Gunners ironically beat Chelsea 1-0, with the Blues unable to score against their former stopper Petr Cech, and after seeing Diego Costa miss the game with injury, concerns over the club’s ability to go the season with an injury prone Costa and the perennially offside Loic Remy, and well, Radamel Falcao, will only be growing.
Arsenal meanwhile showed a steel that we have rarely seen before, and their fans are right to be optimistic after an excellent pre-season was topped off in the best possible way.
