Arsenal fans weren’t happy with their summer spending (yeah, sounds familiar to us too), but when their fans heard the club were set to finalise a deal for a 16 year old superstar to rival Anthony Martial, they reacted in style.
Said kid, Rex Secco, quickly started to trend on Twitter, because one, he’s 16 and worth that much cash, and two, it’s Arsenal.
There was just one catch – the player doesn’t exist. At all – yet some fans fell hook, line and sinker.
Arsenal paying £34 million for Rex Secco a 16 year old no one has ever heard off!!

Secco is entirely made up, yet seemed to get a plethora of tweets about him, his stats, comparisons with other players and even some footage thrown in there too.
It was Twitter at its finest, and here are the best tweets of the bunch.
This goal quickly started to do the rounds as one of Secco’s best…
