Ah the World Cup 2018.
It’s hardly like the tournament is surrounded in well, just about anything positive at all, with FIFA and Sepp Blatter even more unpopular than usual, which is really saying something, and hosts Russia embroiled in another racism scandal.
After the Russian FA flat out denied hearing any evidence of racism when Mr Dench himself, Emmanuel Frimpong, was the victim of monkey chanting and reacted like most sane people would, calls to boycott the tournament in protest were made.
Quite if that will happen – or if Russia should even be hosting the tournament is another thing altogether – but after the draw for the tournament was made, Twitter reacted in standard fashion, and there were some crackers.
Obviously this sums the situation up in a nutshell really…
As if Putin and Blatter don’t provide enough to talk about, there was also some ‘entertainment’…
And you thought UEFA liked to drag things out…
There may be hunger in the world, but not for the real Ronaldo judging by the size of him…
But no one cared about any of that after the draw paired England and Scotland together…
