When Joey Barton had a bit of downtime and decided to do a Twitter Q&A with his ‘fans’, quite how he thought it would end well remains to be seen.
The former Newcastle United player was quickly trending on Twitter, with #AskJB the hashtag of choice, and questions ranging from his career options now he is without a club, his colourful off the field life, his philosophical opinions (because he’s an expert on those) and his general plans.
The midfielder probably thought that he was giving something back to his fans, but in reality, it just provided a platform for the haters to come out in force, not that he seemed to mind that either. With that in mind, here are some of the highlights…
