When people experience a break up, some go on the rebound, others shut themselves away for a while, and the rest seem to either turn to food or have a makeover.

But what does John Cena do? Get absolutely ripped, naturally!

After going through relationship turmoil with Nikki Bella, it’s safe to say Cena has had a bit of rough time of late. The actor and WWE star even said he’d go through painful surgery for her so they could have kids.

Cena said he’d be willing to have a reverse vasectomy if it meant getting Bella back.

Speaking to Nikki on a recent episode of Total Bellas, on the E! Network, John told her:

I wanna marry you and relationship and marriage especially, is about sacrifice, and I will make that sacrifice for you. I will give you a child.

Nikki then told her former finacé: ‘But you have the…’, alluding to the fact he’s had something done to prevent him from having children.

The 16-time WWE Champion responded by saying:

I know. I physically can’t have kids. So, I’m also telling you that I’m willing to have surgery and then still go through with being a dad.

However, it seems (at the moment, anyway) that even the surgery couldn’t make it work between the pair, as Nikki broke it off just weeks before they were due to get married, back in May.

Although Cena took some time away from WWE to concentrate on his acting career, he took to Twitter today, (August 23), to announce his return to the ring and unveil his ultra-veiny, ultra muscle-y new look.

Check it out:

While some may notice his trademark buzzcut has gone – as well as his shirt – I just can’t take my eyes off those veins, the guy is a beast!

Cena was last seen in the ring in April at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, in which he took down the legend that is Triple H.

He’ll next be taking on Kevin Owens at the WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne on October 6.

In other John Cena news, the wrestler has also been linked with martial arts legend Jackie Chan, with the pair reportedly teaming up for a new film.

The two will be side-by-side in an action thriller which will be directed by Scott Waugh, who’s responsible for Act of Valor and the video-game-to-movie adaptation of Need For Speed.

According to CinemaBlend, the Chan and Cena project was originally titled Ex-Baghdad and is now under the working title of Project X (not to be confused with the teen comedy from 2012).

The Hollywood Reporter reveals the plot will be based around a Chinese private security contractor (played by Chan) who is brought in to rescue workers at a Chinese-owned oil refinery in the Middle East, after it comes under attack.

However, Chan’s character soon finds out there’s an ulterior motive with the attackers’ real plan to steal a fortune in oil. This forces him to team up with an ex-Marine (Cena) to put a stop to their plans.

Whatever the two guys get up to, it’s safe to say there’ll be some amazing fight scenes.
