PAEngland goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, can hold his head high following his heroics at this year’s World Cup in Russia.
He probably wants a break from the world for the rest of the summer before he has to put on his gloves for Everton again next month.
It’s probably the reason why England’s number one has splashed out on a swanky pad for him and his partner.
The 24-year-old keeper is set to move into a £2.1 million luxury home in Cheshire with his fiancee, Megan Davison.
Pickford’s five-bedroom home includes a cinema, a jacuzzi, and is located near a golf course – which is a must for any footballer these days, apparently.
According to The Sun, the Toffees and Three Lions goalie proposed to his 22-year-old childhood sweetheart while on holiday in Barbados back in May.
Davison, who graduated last year from the University of Sunderland, met Pickford at school and have been together ever since.
She’s followed Pickford throughout England’s time in the tournament, even witnessing his incredible heroics in The Three Lions’ nail-biting penalty shootout against Colombia in the knockout stages.
Following on from his unforgettable performance against Colombia, he kept a clean sheet during the Sweden game and his performance in the semi-finals, well, Pickford proved he was a force to be reckoned with.
The young ‘keeper was outstanding on the day and it didn’t go unnoticed by the fans. Some even thought he deserved a knighthood after England’s 2-0 win over Sweden.

While England’s search for a second World Cup trophy continues, the same cannot be said for France, who lifted the solid gold trophy for the second time, 20 years after France ’98, after Les Bleus beat Croatia 4-2.
In a tense game, full of drama and goals, it was France who drew first blood, managing to score on the 22nd-minute mark thanks to an own goal from Mario Mandzukic.
It didn’t take long for Croatia to get back into the game after they equalised six minutes later, when Ivan Perisic smashed the ball past Hugo Lloris with a powerful left-footed strike.
GettyThe French were far from beaten though, and thanks to a late first-half penalty – converted by Antoine Griezmann (courtesy of a Perisic handball and a questionable use of VAR from the referee) – they took the lead once again.
The second half began with Croatia going on the offensive, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to stop Paul Pogba from scoring in the 59th minute.
As the game went on, Marcelo Brozovic managed to intercept a shot from Olivier Giroud, but Kylian Mbappe scored just a few minutes later, taking France three goals ahead.
Croatia proved they were far from done and interrupted what could have easily become a victory lap for France, when Mario Mandzukic managed to pull one back, after some poor goalkeeping from Hugo Lloris.
But as the minutes ticked away, Didier Deschamps team killed the game off with a resolute defensive display.
