Jose Aldo has not taken news of a potential Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz rematch well it seems.

The Brazilian fighter went ten years undefeated until he faced McGregor last December and is desperate to avenge the defeat and regain the featherweight title.

With a rematch seemingly overlooked for the time being Aldo has some strong words for ‘The Notorious’.

As reported by Esporte Espetacular, and translated by MMA Fighting, he said:

You will come back (to the featherweight division) with your tail between your legs after what happened, after that embarrassment.

You will come back. My hand almost caught you, but when it does for good, you will sleep.

Aldo continued:

He’s a lion when he’s attacking, but a kitten when he’s getting beat up. Everybody saw in his eyes that he’s just a pussy that quits when he’s getting beat up. That’s what we saw.

I’m waiting for the rematch. It’s the right thing to do in my opinion because there was no fight, and everybody wants to see a fight. Everybody wants to see me beating him up, and that’s what I’m going to do.

I will run through him, that’s a fact. I don’t see other scenario in my head besides going there and winning, and getting my belt back.

We recently ran a poll which dramatically suggested Aldo is not correct.

Over 50 per cent of fans voted in favour of a featherweight bout with Frankie Edgar, the second most popular choice was a Diaz rematch, and with just 14 per cent of votes a rematch with Jose Aldo was the least popular.

So Jose may want to replace his use of the word ‘everbody’ with ‘I’.
