UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to be the next fighter to take on ‘The Notorious’ Conor Mcgregor, the 24-and-0 Russian is no joke. If you don’t believe us check out the footage above of him fighting a bear when was a child.

This is legitimate footage, confirmed by Nurmagomedov’s father and sambao coach, Abdulmanap. The footage first popped up in 2013 when speaking to Russian MMA and boxing website To Fight back in 2013. Khabib took the bear on when was he 9-years-old, not as training but as “a show of character”.

His old man justified his son fighting the bear, saying:

Firstly, every son wants to show off to his father what he’s capable of. It’s too bad I didn’t take video of the 10 other fights he had that were more interesting.

Nurmagomedo hopes to wow audiences this Saturday as he takes on Tony Ferguson at UFC 209, the winner of that fight will earn opportunity to take on reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

This message to @UFC : It is clear to everyone that you hiding Conor from me. But stop lying to your fans like I don't want fight with Aldo, I'm ready to fight with anyone in my division. The outspoken Russian has already called out The Notorious one, claiming that brash the Irishman is ‘hiding’ from him.

UFC 209 takes place at the Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday and the early hours of Sunday morning and will be shown live on BT Sport 2.
