Despite being one of the most entertaining managers in the game, you wouldn’t mess with Jurgen Klopp.
He’s 6’4″, has a temper and his middle name is Norbert, so you can assume he’s had his fair share of stick over the years.
But Mamadou Sakho has pissed him off, and has been sent home from Liverpool’s pre season tour of America.
Initial reports suggested that the Frenchman was ordered to leave because of an Achilles injury, but according to the Liverpool Echo, it’s because of Sakho’s disruptive attitude.
We can only assume this is because whenever the 26-year-old isn’t on the pitch, he’s pissing around with a selfie stick making Snapchat videos to post on social media.
He pranked Blaise Matuidi earlier this year, and this week he attempted to disrupt Klopp’s TV interview, which backfired spectacularly.
With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising to know that it can get quite annoying when a giant defender is prancing around taking selfies with everyone, and seeing as he’s going to miss the start of the season, it makes sense to send him back to Liverpool for treatment.
Fellow defender Brad Smith has also been sent home, although that’s thought to be because he’s closing in on a £6m move to Bournemouth rather than for disciplinary reasons.
The rest of the squad remain in California, ahead of games against Chelsea, AC Milan and Roma this week, before kicking off their Premier League season against Arsenal.
Whether Sakho is even at the club at by that time is under question, with the defender hardly Klopp’s favourite guy.
