Sevilla have won the Europa League for the third year running, after coming from behind to see off Liverpool in the final.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had gone ahead in the first half thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s goal, but Kevin Gameiro equalised at the beginning of a disastrous second half for the Reds.
Sevilla Captain Coke then scored twice to win the competition for the fifth time in the last ten years.
One place equally brilliant as Sevilla’s second half in Switzerland was Twitter, which was at the top of its game all night, just like the Spaniards.
Here’s the best of the reactions:
Before the game, there were some unsavoury scenes inside St Jakob-Park as fans came to blows – although some of it was hilarious:

Both teams had a more than decent record in the competition:
Before tonight:
Sevilla have won all 4 Europa League finals they've played.
Liverpool have won all 3 Europa League finals they've played.

When the action began, Liverpool had a penalty shout for handball turned down, leading to Howard Webb taking some stick:
Only howard webb could bottle a big decision in a game he's not even refereeing

Co-commentator Owen Hargreaves didn’t get away with it though:
Owen Hargreaves "I think he knows his arm is there."
Well you'd hope so.

Can't fully concentrate on this game because of Owen Hargreaves' dodgy accent.

To be honest, it was all a bit boring until Sturridge lit up Switzerland with a stunner:
Liverpool ahead. A brilliant strike with the outside of his left foot from Daniel Sturridge. It's what he can do.

Sturridge ? Oh my …..

Liverpool were happy at the break, but disaster struck less than a minute after the restart:
Terrible start to second half for #lfc. 18 seconds in. Moreno asleep. Mariano Ferreira cross, Gameiro finish. 1-1.

VINE | It took 16 seconds for Sevilla to score in the second half, as Gameiro got his 29th goal of the season https://t.co/4BFXngTbI9

And it nearly got worse, only for Kolo Toure to save the day:

Kolo Toure just used up all of the Toure brothers' speed for the next 2 seasons

But despite Kolo’s heroics, Coke scored a quickfire double to put Sevilla on the verge of victory:
Not pretty viewing… https://t.co/cOatOqQ2Vg

Sevilla have been brilliant since half-time under the influence of Coke. Big reaction required.

All sorts of confusion as a Sevilla goal is disallowed but then given. Coke again. 3-1.

This is the opposite of Istanbul. #EuropaLeagueFinal

Sevilla's last 30 minutes are among the best 30 minutes of football anyone has played this year. Good timing.

Unai Emery’s side comfortably hung on to claim the trophy that’s basically theirs for keeps, and ensure it wasn’t a magical European night for Liverpool…
