Liverpool were coasting to a routine win against Southampton, before they made a complete fuck up of it and ended up losing 3-2.
Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge gave the Reds the perfect start in the first half, but two goals from Sadio Mane and one from Graziano Pelle meant Ronald Koeman won it.
As is usually the way when Liverpool mess something up, the internet blew up.
Here’s the best of the reaction:
It all started so well for Liverpool, as Coutinho scored a goal similar to one he’d netted over a year ago:

Before Sturridge kept up his excellent run against Southampton:
3 – Daniel Sturridge has scored three goals in his last two starts against Southampton in all competitions. Saintly.

But it all went tits up before long, with Mane and Pelle scoring to equalise, and some think it was due to a certain substitution:
I've said for a few months Skrtels going. Daft decision to bring him on over Toure. He's not a winner and has been a problem for years. #LFC
— Graeme Kelly (@GraemeKelly1) March 20, 2016
Some used stats to prove their theories weren’t just personal:
#LFC had conceded 3 goals their last 8 games (795 mins) – Martin Skrtel's emergence means they have conceded the same amount in 45 minutes.

But others were pointing the finger at a certain Northern Irishman:
Oh I see
83 mins:
Southampton 1 Liverpool 2: Klopp is a genius
86 mins:
Southampton 3 Liverpool 2: It's all Brendan Rodgers fault

Southampton completed their comeback and turned Liverpool’s focus back to other competitions:

And some Saints fans just took the piss:
Never in doubt #saintsfc ?

Back on the pitch, Jurgen Klopp was unhappy with one of his players:

But others weren’t happy with the German:
People are protecting Klopp again just because he's 'class'. I can guarantee you, if this was Rodgers, he'd got unbelievably much abuse.

And Jimmy Bullard just summed up the whole afternoon in one tweet:
Pulling this classic out for the Liverpool fans right now! pic.twitter.com/a6SUeJXL0t

Never mind Liverpool, you’ll just have to beat Dortmund and win the Europa League. How hard can it be?
