It seems Luis Suarez’s son has been watching his dad’s football matches very closely, and is eager to copy his every move.

At just six months old, it’s a little too early to know whether Lautaro Suarez has been gifted with his daddy’s goal scoring prowess, however it would appear he has inherited his enthusiasm for biting.

After Barcelona defeated Levante 1-0 on Saturday, spirits were soaring among the Catalan players and their families. Having secured the La Liga title once again, this win marked Barcelona’s fourth Spanish title in the last five years as well as their 26th La Liga title.

As the pitch erupted with post-match celebrations, there was one young man who stole the show completely, despite being not much bigger than a football.

As Suarez carried baby Lautaro triumphantly around the Nou Camp pitch, the infant was snapped about to sink his emerging milk teeth into his dad’s shoulder.

The gummy attack was made all the more hilarious by the ferocious look on the youngest Suarez son’s face, an expression which feels all too familiar to those who have followed Suarez’ career.

The picture is strikingly reminiscent of the infamous incident during the World Cup in 2014, when Suarez bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini, as reported by the BBC.

The gross act of unsporting conduct was initially missed by match officials, but Suarez was later handed a four-month ban from all footballing activities by Fifa, who also barred him from playing in nine international matches.

And if only this was the first time Suarez went full Jaws on an opponent. In 2010, he received a two match ban after biting PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bakkal on the shoulder, but apparently chose not to learn from this punishment.

The picture has quickly gone viral, with amused fans describing Suarez Jr. as being a ‘chip off the old block’ and ‘very on brand’.
