Manchester City Football Club have just claimed a historic domestic treble, having beat Watford 6-0 in the 2019 FA Cup final.
City have already proved victorious in both the Premier League and Carabao Cup, making them the first men’s team to win each of three major domestic competitions in England in just one season.
In 1999, Manchester United won a Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup Treble under Sir Alex Ferguson. And in 2001, Liverpool FC bagged an FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup treble under Gerard Houllier.
However, this one season treble is unprecedented and makes for a historic and extremely impressive victory for Manchester City. This feat was first achieved in 1993 by Arsenal Women, who proceeded to repeat this achievement a further three times.
Manchester City are going to end the season with 50 wins, as many as Manchester United, Wolves & Huddersfield combined.

Not only this, but Manchester City will be ending the season with a staggering 50 wins, more than Manchester United, Wolverhampton and Huddersfield put together.
Speaking with the BBC ahead of the momentous match, manager Pep Guardiola stressed the importance of the players remaining for a win:
Every player has to feel they must play well or they won’t play,
They have to feel they must win again or they will have problems, they are in trouble and won’t be here any longer.
Guardiola added:
We have to win again and again and again,
It has been incredible. But from the first day of next season, we start from zero.
Domestic. Treble.
This club is incredible. What a joy this season has been to watch. #CTID #ManchesterCity pic.twitter.com/505QZYbHAB
