The Paul Pogba saga has officially taken over the whole transfer window.
The world record deal to take the Frenchman from Juventus to Manchester United is getting closer by the day, and now there only seems to be one thing holding the deal up – Mino Raiola.
Raiola is Pogba’s agent, and his fee is absolutely massive – £25m no less – and it remains to be seen whether United are willing to pay that much on top of the £100m transfer sum to land the 23-year-old.
To put that into context, that much could buy you two and a half Dimitri Payet’s, 62.5 Riyad Mahrez’s or half a Raheem Sterling.
Juventus are unhappy with how Raiola and Pogba have conducted themselves during this whole saga, and are refusing to pay the agent’s fees.
They want either United or Pogba himself to cough up, and it’s all that’s holding up the move which seems to have dragged on for an eternity.
The player recently posted a picture to his Instagram account, which showed himself and Raiola relaxing in a pool and laughing – presumably about how much money they’re going to make in the next couple of weeks.
If this whole saga has taught us one thing, it’s that we all should have been football agents.
