Bellator fighter Jordan Parsons has had a leg amputated after he was hit by a car in Delray Beach, Florida yesterday morning.
As reported by MMA Fighting, doctors were forced to remove the lower half of his right leg and, according to teammate Rashad Evans, Parsons is now in a coma.
Evans, who is also affiliated to the Florida-based Blackzilians team, took to Instagram to show his support for Parsons.

Parsons was due to fight Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 154 on May 14, but it is expected Bellator will now pull the fight without seeking an alternative opponent.
The promotion also released a statement on the incident and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
It read:
Bellator has been informed of a terrible accident that occurred last night involving featherweight fighter Jordan Parsons, who was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident.
We are still in the process of uncovering details and with his family’s consent, hope to have an update on his medical condition soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family as he recovers.
The hit-and-run occurred on Lindell Blvd. and South Federal Highway in Delray Beach, Florida. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Delray Beach Police Department at (561) 243-7800.
Fans have quickly set about raising money to support Parsons in his recovery, and to aid his family with his fighting career all but over.
So far the appeal on GoFundMe has raised more than $17,000 in just 19 hours.
