In case you didn’t know, Newcastle United fans are pretty happy right now.
Rafa Benitez has signed a three-year contract to stay on as manager, and the mood around Tyneside is on a high, despite facing a season in the Championship in three months time.
The feeling in the North-East is so buzzing that pubs and restaurants around the area have launched a “Rafa Benitez Burger” in homage to their Spanish manager. It’s basically a burger with a bit of chorizo on the top, sold to punters who love their new boss more than life itself.

One such Twitter user was @TaylorandBesty, who was tucking into one today when he launched the hashtag #NUFCBurgers, which promptly took off.
Hundreds of tweets later, it began to trend in the UK and made for some hilarious reading.
Here’s the best of the lot:
The Coloccini – Argentinian Beef. Good some days. Terrible the next. Inconsistent & too long on menu. Served with curly fries. #NUFCBurgers

The Ben Arfa – Delicious and mesmerising, doesn't always deliver quality, but class under the right chef. High fat content. #NUFCBurgers

Surprisingly enough no Alan Pardew Burger. Would be just a piece of human faeces with glitter sprinkled on it between two bits of bread.

Absolutely brilliant.
