Former UFC champ Ronda Rousey has been filmed returning to Los Angeles hiding her face in a pillow after she received plastic surgery following her brutal defeat to Holly Holm.

She received plastic surgery after her comprehensive loss to Holm in which the challenger assaulted her face with a flurry of punches and the head kick that mercifully finished the one-sided contest which took place in Melbourne on Saturday night.

Rousey has laid low since the shock loss of her bantamweight title. Her only message to fans came in an Instagram post on Monday in which she thanked everyone for their “love and support” and said she would “take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back”.

She refused to reveal the extent of her injuries or to answer any questions as she was escorted through LAX by her entourage with boyfriend and fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne by her side before being ushered into the back of a waiting 4×4.

Meanwhile, UFC President Dana White told UFC commentator Joe Rogan “I think as a team they’ll sit down and try to figure out what went wrong and what needs to be fixed.”

All the best for a speedy recovery, Ronda.
