When you think of Ronda Rousey you probably immediately think of her as the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and one of the baddest women on the planet.
What you probably don’t think of is Ronda, the 16-year-old Pokemon fanatic.
But it’s true, and her infamous profile as a moderator on GameTalk.com is utterly hilarious (and worth reading in full).
For a long time, the Internet has debated whether this really is Ronda Rousey‘s account or merely a comical fake on the now defunct website.
However when asked on Twitter, Ronda did not hold back in telling the truth:
And it seems very plausible too, as Ronda has never been shy to admit her obsession with the game.
Back in 2014, the YouTube account, MMA Fighting, stopped Ronda at a red carpet event and asked her a Pokemon related question.
Instead of doing what the majority of stars in her position would do, and dismissing it – Ronda went on a passionate three minute long rampage making her love for the game beyond clear.
In the clip she said:
I got the trading cards first, my first trading card was a Dragonair. And then I got the video game — I got it on GameBoy color.
I’ve gotten every single version of every single generation of the game. So like when blue came out, I didn’t just get blue and wait for silver, no. I got blue, I beat blue, I got red, I beat red, I got yellow, I beat yellow. And then when gold, silver, and platinum came out, I got all three of those and beat those.
And it didn’t stop there – Rousey seemed like she could’ve talked Pokemon for eternity, but her rep came over and led her onwards to do some more interviews.
On an ‘Ask Me Anything’ thread on Reddit eight months ago, a fellow former moderator on GameTalk.com got in touch to ask Ronda a question:
Her excited response certainly poses only as further proof that the moderator profile of mew182 definitely belongs to her.
