Rousey Interviewed About Her Loss To Holm And Her Future

Ronda Rousey has been interviewed by People magazine. She has opened up about her loss to Holly Holm and where she goes from here.

Rousey hasn’t had much to say since losing her title to Holm at UFC 193, but she has revealed that it might be six months before she’s able to eat regularly much less take a punch.

She has admitted that the whole ordeal has been “really f*cking sad.”

“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” Rousey added in the interview.

Immediately following the loss last month, Rousey was transported to a local Australian hospital, where she had plastic surgery to sew up her busted lip plus get a few dislodged teeth back into place.

Now back home in California, Rousey is looking forward to the future once more.

On top of her fighting commitments she has a slew of film projects coming up in 2016, including a remake of “Road House” as well as “Mile 22” where she’s set to act alongside Mark Wahlberg.

Although Rousey’s MMA goals have shifted (she wanted to retire undefeated) it doesn’t mean she’s giving up. She now faces a scenario in which she’s a contender.

“Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done,” Rousey said. “But f*ck it, maybe I can.”

Rousey has faced backlash from her comments before the fight in which she stated that “no one has the right to beat me.”

Celebrities like Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber took shots at Rousey following the loss. Donald Trump even got on the bandwagon and blasted her saying she’s “not a nice person.”

Rousey says those comments are only going to make her charge that much harder at coming back better than ever.

“Most people get scared away from having an opinion,” Rousey said.”It’s not so much my opinions everybody relates to, it’s that I don’t care about being punished for it.”
