On Saturday, his team Saracens won the Champions Cup Final, which is no mean feat in the world of rugby, and if that wasn’t enough, he was even named as European player of the year.
So, what did he do? Well, he went out and celebrated just like any decent athlete should – by going on a weekend-long bender that saw him pissed, still in his full Saracens kit, in the pub, 24 hours after his impressive victory. Bravo, Alex.
It’s been a long season for the team, who became the first English team to win three Champions Cups, which only becomes more impressive when you realise they remained unbeaten throughout that time.

Goode and his teammates had obviously hit it hard when the 31-year-old was spotted 24 hours later, still dressed head to toe in full kit, with bright yellow boots and a bum bag, giving off series John Terry vibes.
No doubt there will have been a few bad heads among the Sarries when they headed back for training this morning ahead of their last Premiership regular game of the season against Worcester on Saturday.

Goode will come forward as central for Sarries again when they contest the Gallagher Premiership semi-final later this month, despite England boss Eddie Jones not rating him as the best player in the northern hemisphere. We have a feeling he might rethink that decision…
Collecting his Euro award, Goode said:
Every time I step out onto the field for Saracens it is a privilege for me. I love this place.
It has been an incredible part of my life and winning with these guys is an incredible feeling.
PA ImagesGoode’s celebrations brought nostalgia to football fans who remembered John Terry’s Champions League final celebrations in 2012, in which the then-Chelsea player was spotted still head-to-toe in blue the day after their victory – despite him being suspended at the time and not playing in the final.
Terry was mocked mercilessly, but has since defended his celebrations, telling The Telegraph:
People look and say ‘he’s not won it’, people like to have their digs and their pops, but I know I played a huge part along the way, in the dressing room and on the field as well, so I count myself to have won it.
