After Roy Hodgson named his England squad to take to France for Euro 2016, Twitter expressed their fury in a manner Arsenal fans would be proud of.
Not only did Hodgson leave some fairly notable names out, he also included players who quite frankly did not deserve to make the cut. Yes Wheelchair, we mean you.
So when Roy lost his job following the abysmal exit to Iceland, no one was particularly surprised.
It was slim pickings when it came to the choices for his successor and eventually Sam Allardyce finally got the job he always wanted.
It’s his first squad selection and here’s how people reacted:
Waiting for Sam Allardyce to get off the dance floor before he makes his England squad announcement https://t.co/JbgVNgMyIS

Big Sam announces England squad later. Ryan Shawcross, Andy Carroll, Ivan Campo, Kevin Nolan and Peter Crouch are said to be in the frame.

People wanted one man, and one man only:
Antonio is actually sick if he's not in the England squad soon then there's something fishy going on

If Antonio is not in the England squad soon I'm shocked

He made it:
The big surprise in Allardyce's first #eng squad is Michail Antonio. Wayne Rooney named amongst midfielders. No Ross Barkley.

Not quite:
This'll be the best day ever when West Ham get done by six and Mark Noble still isn't in the England squad even though his dad's the manager
— Spurred On (@spurredontv) August 28, 2016
Say what?!
As much as I am happy for @Michailantonio I am gutted for a @Noble16Mark #EnglandSquad

You can’t please everyone:
Theo Walcott is the only one I wouldn't have picked. Ross Barkley missing is an odd one #Englandsquad

Haha Big Sam's 1st #EnglandSquad basically just carbon copy of Euros under Roy. Nothing massively different or innovative. Just a yes man?

Phil J over Scott Dann are you serious ffs. The latter is SO much better #Englandsquad
