Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson – AKA The Mountain to Game of Thrones fans – is giving fans in Botswana plenty to shout about at World’s Strongest Man 2016.
The Icelandic two-time winner of Europe’s strongest man is making light work of the group stages in Africa, setting a new world record in the process.
The achievement came on day three of the competition in the keg toss, with Thor launching the 15kg barrel an almighty 7.15m over the high bar.

And the man himself isn’t being modest about the acivement.
Thor posted a message to Instagram saying:

Currently sat at the top of group three the 6ft9 former basketballer is looking a genuine contender, but there is still a long way to go.
American Brian Shaw and Britain’s Eddie Hall remain in Thor’s path with both men currently topping their groups.
