Poor old Martin Demichelis.
He’s barely recovered from being torn apart by Marcus Rashford a few weeks back, and now he’s been hit with a charge of misconduct by the FA for breaching betting rules – 12 times.
It’s well known that players are banned from betting on any football match worldwide, but Demichelis has fallen foul of the rule, and Twitter thinks it’s hilarious:
Here’s the best of the mocking:
There were plenty of sarcastic hammerings:
If Martin Demichelis had been betting on his own games, then he'd be the greatest defender ever, making those errors look so natural.

FA charge Man City defender Martin Demichelis with betting misconduct.
What's the odds on that! #mcfc

Has Demichelis been betting against city when he knows he's starting?!!

Some questioned why a professional footballer needs any more money:
Martin Demichelis must be on £50K+ a week. Why he's putting accumulators on I'll never know…

While others just couldn’t let the Derby go:

Martin Demichelis obviously stuck a tenner on that Rashford would rip him apart.

And some took the more sympathetic route:
Martin Demichelis is even poor at betting can't do anything right that lad

Oh Martin, you are the number one target for internet trolls everywhere.
