Jessie Graff has become the first woman to complete stage one of American Ninja Warrior – and she did it in style.
Jessie, a stuntwoman on ‘Supergirl’, absolutely killed her run, completing the course with 12.39 seconds to spare in a time of 2 minutes 7.61 seconds.
Check her incredible show of athleticism out:
What an absolute machine!
Graff electrified the crowd and commentators as she made each section look like a warm up.
Jessie told ESPN it wasn’t as easy as she made it look:
I knew I could do it, but I didn’t know if I would.
Anytime I caught myself thinking about the magnitude of how my life might change if I completed the course, I would immediately redirect my focus to calculating and memorizing the strategies for each specific obstacle.
I’m excited to complete Stage one as an athlete, not just a woman, because it is a deceptively challenging course that has taken out hundreds of stronger athletes than me, male and female.
Jessie added:
I’m grateful that it came together for me on the right night, and looking forward to seeing more women hit that buzzer in the future.
Congratulations Jessie – you nailed it!
