The 41-year-old normally wrestles as ‘Brother Nero’ for one half of the Hardy Boyz on WWE SmackDown, however he is currently inactive due to a leg injury.

On Saturday morning (July 13) Hardy was arrested by the Myrtle Beach Police Department and booked in for public intoxication and impairment.

Myrtle Beach Online report police were called to the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations hotel for a report of an intoxicated man at approximately 11:15 a.m. They arrested Hardy without incident.

His mug shot displays Hardy’s distinguishable features; large ear plugs, neck tattoos and his sculpted facial hair. It’s currently unclear exactly what lead to his arrest but he didn’t remain behind bars for long as he was released at some point on Saturday on less than $200 bond, according to TMZ.

WWE released a statement about the wrestler’s arrest, which simply read:

Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.

Last year, the 41-year-old was arrested after drunkenly crashing his car in North Carolina. A police report obtained by TMZ Sports explained Hardy was involved in a single-car crash in March and admitted to being the driver of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan.

The wrestler submitted to a breath test and blew a .25, meaning he was driving while having more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. He was booked for misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated.

WWE released a similar statement at the time, emphasising Hardy was responsible for his own actions.

‘Brother Nero’ underwent a successful knee surgery in May this year to repair multiple lingering issues in his right knee, which he got as a result of an attack by Lars Sullivan on SmackDown LIVE.

At the time he said he was expecting to be out of action for six to nine months, suggesting he could be back in the ring by the end of this year or early next year.

Hardy does not appear to have commented on his arrest at the time of writing (July 13)
