WWE superstar Becky Lynch has revealed she’s engaged to fellow wrestler Seth Rollins.

They announced their engagement on social media on Thursday, with Lynch sharing a snap of them affectionately huddled together on a stony beach, with ring on full display.

The Irish fighter, who is better known in recent times as The Man, told her followers, ‘happiest day of my life. For the rest of my life.’

After a long friendship, things turned romantic for Becky, real name Rebecca Quinn, and Seth, real name Colby Lopez, earlier this year, before they publicly confirmed their relationship in May.

They make quite the power couple given Seth is currently the WWE Universal Champion and one half of the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, while Becky is the WWE RAW Women’s Champion.

It wasn’t long before WWE incorporated their romance into an on-screen relationship which saw them team up for a winner takes all mixed tag match at Extreme Rules.

Rollins recently gushed over his soon-to-be-fiancée during an interview with Pinkvilla, where he described her as the ‘perfect partner.’

He told the publication:

We’re just crazy in love. She’s the perfect partner for me.

It’s been, for me, the happiest I’ve ever been.

She adds so much to my life and hopefully, I add a little bit to hers but she makes me want to be a better person every single day.

I admire and respect her. I think she’s so talented, as a performer but also she’s just an awesome human being.

Fellow wrestlers have been quick to congratulate the happy couple, with Nicky Bella writing, ‘awww yay! Love this so much! You deserve all the happiness in the world!!! Love you Becky!!!’

Trish Status told them, ‘Omgosh!!! Congrats!! Soul friggin mates!!! Here’s to living your best life with the love of your life! [sic]’

Becky’s compatriot Sheamus  also joked, ‘welcome to the family Seth!’

In an interview with Sports Illustrated Rollins was pretty candid about their relationship, confirming their friendship had turned to romance in February.

He told the podcast:

We didn’t really keep it a secret that much. We were in public, went to concerts and took pictures.

We were friends a year beforehand. It’s not like we hadn’t taken pictures at the gym or elsewhere before.

I think people were like, ‘Maybe they’re just friends’. We started seeing each other in February and I don’t think we let the cat out of the bag until April.

But weren’t taking extreme measures like she was walking around with a mustache. We did what we did and eventually she put the thing on Twitter.

Huge congratulations to the ultimate power couple!
