Online hacktivists Anonymous have issued a warning to the terrorist group responsible for Thursday’s terror attack in Nice.

Issuing a video statement on YouTube, the group said: “To defend our values and our freedom, we’re tracking down members of the terrorist group responsible for these attacks.”

The hacking group also claimed that they were planning ‘total mobilisation’ following the horrific truck attack in Nice, which left at least 84 dead and 52 fighting for their lives in hospital.

“We have already expressed our determination to neutralise anybody who will attack our freedom. We’ll be doing the same now. Expect a total mobilisation on our part,” they added.

The group, who have also launched similar campaigns against political groups and individuals such as U.S. presidential hopeful Donald Trump, reacted in a similar manner after the Paris attacks in November last year, by taking down a large number of pro-Daesh Twitter accounts.

Terrorist Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove a lorry along the Promenade des Anglais for over a mile, running down locals and tourists celebrating Bastille Day before he was killed in a shootout with police.

The so-called Islamic State claimed it was behind the attack and that Bouhlel, a French citizen originally from Tunisia, was one of their ‘soldiers’, but investigators are still trying to discover if he was a lone wolf or acting on instruction from the terror group.
