Facebook Messenger Has A Secret Game And This Is How You Play

As if there weren’t already enough ways to procrastinate on Facebook, it turns out there’s a secret online game you can play on the social media site’s messenger app that we never even knew about.

According to the Huffington Post, if you’re getting bored of actually talking to people on Facebook Messenger, you can play a cheeky game of Chess instead.

Apparently, anyone can play by hitting a secret command which allows you to challenge your mates to the game.

To start the game, all you need to do is send “@fbchess play” to the person you’d like to play with, and a miniature white and green chessboard will pop up.

The only downside is, to play the game, you have to use ‘Standard Algebraic Notation’, which sounds pretty complicated and we didn’t really pay attention in maths classes at school.
