Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather is selling one the rarest cars in his collection, a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita – which there are only two of in the world.
Now before you jump to conclusions and start thinking: “Ha, Money is broke” that is (un)fortunately not the case. According to his ‘car guy’, Obi Okeke, the welterweight is selling the rare automobile to ‘replenish his multi-million dollar car collection’.
What’s he planning to do with money from that car? According to TMZ the flash bastard is looking to buy himself a $20 million (£16.1 million) yacht. Why you ask? Because he’s Floyd ‘Money Mayweather, that’s why.
Mayweather originally purchased the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita for $4.8 million (£3.8 miilon) back in 2015. It comes with a mind-blowing 1018 horsepower, with a top speed of over 254 MPH and can effectively go from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds.
This is definitely not your Dad’s Ford Escort or your mum’s KIA.
So how much is Floyd willing to sell it for? No one really knows… but considering there are only two in the world at the moment don’t expect the second-hand price to be cheap… they don’t call him ‘Money’ for fun you know.
Away from boxing the 49-and-0 welterweight, who retired from the ring in 2015 after beating Andre Berto on points, is still expecting to make his comeback as he takes on UFC’s Conor McGregor in what could prove to be the most lucrative fight in boxing history.
We’ll see…
