Ford Unveils The Next Generation Ford Fiesta

Ford has launched the next generation Ford Fiesta, expanding its range to include a Vignale, sporty ST-Line, Titanium, and Active crossover.

40 years since the launch of the first Ford Fiesta, the range is still going strong. It’s smashed sales record for many years in a row and the 2017 Ford Fiesta will be no different.

Featuring the Vignale, sporty ST-Line, Titanium, and Active crossover editions, there’s something for everyone or anyone looking to upgrade from their old Ford Fiesta.

The Ford Fiesta is known to be fun to drive, smart and compact enough to fit into spaces most other cars couldn’t, whilst still offering the space to get things done.

For road safety, Ford has included some sensors to keep both the driver and other road users safe. It’s packed with sensors capable of monitoring up to 130 metres ahead.

It features other safety technology such as an enhanced Pedestrian Detection system to help prevent collisions at night and Ford Active Park Assist system that can deliver brake interventions to prevent low-speed bumps when parking hands-free.

The Fiesta’s SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system is supported by floating HD touchscreen up to 8-inches for satnav, music, Apple CarPlay, Spotify and more, depending on which version you go for.

Cutting-edge powertrains include a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine offering up to 140 PS, and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel offering 120 PS – the first high-power diesel Fiesta powertrain.

Ford also care a lot about the environment and it anticipates CO2 emissions from 82 g/km, supported by an all-new six-speed transmission with innovative friction reduction technologies.

Beyond the technology and all the fancy things new to the Fiesta range though are the tiny little things like an effortless door closure system that won’t break your arm.

There’s also a capless refuelling system that prevents misfuelling, windscreen wipers that clear 13 per cent more of the windscreen and a protective flap concealed in the door that moves into position in a fraction of a second as the door opens, preventing damage to paint and bodywork, especially when parking in tight spaces.
