Ford have developed a new crib which apparently ‘tricks’ babies into falling asleep which could make new parents’ lives a hell of a lot easier.
It seems somewhat unlikely the British car makers behind swish looking vehicles have come with a way to get your baby to sleep, but they have and it looks like a miracle worker.
If you can only get your little one off into the land of nod by driving them around until they can no longer keep their eyes open, then this new cot is for you.
Max Motor Dreams is a crib which apparently imitates the motion of being in a car and will therefore trick your tot into thinking they’re being chauffeured around until they hit dreamland.
It seems aside Ford were concerned for weary parents’ welfare, so much so, they have devised the ultimate rocking machine.
Designer Alejandro Lopez Bravo said in a statement:
After many years of talking to mums and dads, we know that parents of newborns are often desperate for just one good night’s sleep.
But while a quick drive in the family car can work wonders in getting baby off to sleep, the poor old parents still have to be awake and alert at the wheel. The Max Motor Dreams could make the everyday lives of a lot of people a little bit better.
This wondrous piece of design makes use of light, sound and movement in order to best rock your baby off to sleep.
If you aren’t sold on all of that already, it’s also kitted out with an app so parents can – and this is the really juicy part – actually record their own journeys to suit the baby’s sleep needs.
Here’s the downer though, the crib was only created as a one off, but there’s hope, Ford have said they’re considering ‘full scale production’ after ‘numerous enquiries,’ which is just the news you needed to hear.
This needs to go into production as of yesterday.
This could be the ultimate life-changer and a sure fire way to claw back those extra hours of much needed, precious sleep.
Parents around the world, rejoice.
