Facebook have added an exciting new emoji to their five normal reactions.
Normally you can ‘Like, Heart, Haha, Wow, Sad, or Angry’ a post, but to celebrate Pride Month, Facebook have added a colourful new reaction, the Rainbow.
We’ve no idea what the ‘Rainbow’ reaction means but we do know that it’s fabulous. Maybe it means ‘proud’?
Anyway Facebook announced the new reaction in a post on Friday, they said:
We believe in building a platform that supports all communities. So we’re celebrating love and diversity this Pride by giving you a special reaction.
People have been loving the new reaction, despite not really knowing what it means:
Unfortunately though not everyone has immediate access to the Rainbow reaction but don’t worry because we’ve got a handy dandy guide to getting yourself the hottest new reaction.
All you have to do is log into Facebook. and then like the LGBTQ@Facebook page. If you do that you should be able to use the Rainbow reaction to your heart’s content.
The reaction will be available all of June which is the traditional ‘Pride Month’.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
