IOS10 has opened you up to any sneaky snoopers by allowing them to read and reply to texts without entering a passcode.

Of course it was intended to make replying quicker, but it plays into the hands of the people that make you use a code in the first place, Elite Daily reports.

As you can see in the screenshot below, a troll got hold of my phone and replied to Harambe without having to enter any code:

This is a massive privacy issue for anyone who leaves their phone around a peeping Tom, so here’s how to stop it.

Simply go to Settings, choose the Touch ID and Passcode menu.

Then you will be asked to enter your passcode which will allow you to switch the Reply with Message option off.

Privacy and security seem to be at risk at the hands of efficiency these days…

…like contactless cards. It just doesn’t seem secure!
