Motorola Absolutely Destroy Apple And Samsung In Their Latest Mobile Phone Ad

The smartphone battle is on, and the competitors are not taking any prisoners in the war to come out on top.

Mere days after Apple unveiled the iPhone X, Samsung got all salty and released an advert which mocked the Apple creation and promoted their new Galaxy Note 8.

Android fans everywhere rejoiced the sarcastic wit of the Samsung ad which poked fun at the ‘updated’ Apple iPhone.

But both Samsung and Apple can step aside, because Motorola have stepped up-up with their latest ad which takes aim at the two smartphone behemoths.

Remember the days when Motorola was the only brand for a cool phone, even in the days before Blackberry.

Everybody wanted either the Motorola RAZR or PEBL back in the day, but they’ve faded into obscurity slightly in recent years, but no more.

Check out the ad here:

Samsung’s ad showed the progression of iPhones alongside the progression for the equivalent Samsung models.

The lead character in the advert would buy new iPhone models over the years, only to encounter different problems with his phone which weren’t experienced by his girlfriend who, obviously, had the Samsung.

Eventually the bloke in the ad decided to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and all was well…

Or was it? The end of the Samsung ad is where the Motorola ad picks up, and even puts the same characters in the ad for maximum trolling.

After the man gets home with his Samsung Galaxy Note 8, he proudly shows it off to his girlfriend, who whips out her brand new Motorola Z2 Play.

As the male character watches a film on his phone, his girlfriend picks up an attachment for her phone to turn it into a mini projector.

As though the message weren’t clear, a message appears on the screen saying, ‘Up-upgrade to Motorola’.

They posted it to their US Twitter with the simple message:

Their better just got bested. Why settle for edge-to-edge, when you could project your screen up to 70″?

The original advert by Samsung got people talking, with some calling it brilliant marketing, while others suggested Apple should ‘sue’ Samsung.

One man who should probably take a look at the advert is the guy who spent three days queuing outside an Apple store for the new iPhone X but was too skint to buy one after splashing out in a casino.

The ‘unidentified’ male had first dibs on the new release being sold at the Regent Street branch in London.

Because those outside the shop were given wristbands giving them an hour away from the line, he decided to spend his golden 60 minutes in the casino, where he allegedly lost all the money he was putting towards the iPhone X.

In a strange coincidence Marco Pierre White Jr became the next first person in line and bagged himself one of the phones, despite already having one.

Marco told Metro:

I ended up number one in the queue! My friend didn’t have enough money so he f*cked off back home.

He overspent in the casino last night and so I ended up first.

It’s hard to see people getting so excited for a Motorola, no matter how good their ads are.
