A mum who was found dead with her young son in London on Wednesday posted some preemptive tweets just days before.
Police discovered the bodies of Sinead Higgins, 37, and seven-year-old Oisin O’Driscoll in a property in Ruislip shortly before 11am.
Their deaths are ‘unexplained’ but a tweet and some Instagram posts from Sinead hint she was going through a hard time.
TwitterThe tweet reads ‘The future looks very’ followed by an image of a tornado and she posted quotes to Instagram echoing similar thoughts.
It is believed police were alerted to the scene by Sinead’s former boyfriend who came to the house when his son didn’t attend school on Monday, the Mirror reports.
Sinead was an emergency nurse and Oisin, who attended St Swithun Wells Catholic Primary School, was described as a ‘very happy little boy’.
Eerily, Sinead had told her neighbour she always felt a dark presence in her house and that someone else had died in it previously.
Detective Inspector Dave Bolton, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said:
The investigation is at a very early stage but enquiries so far lead us to believe there is a likelihood that the tragic events that led to the deaths do not involve a third party.
We are appealing to anyone who has any information to come and speak with us.
Barbara Lonnan, who lives near Sinead, said the mum had split from her boyfriend and he had left the home a few weeks ago.
Barbara said:
She’s going to be really missed, she was a lovely girl. She kept herself to herself, if she was going shopping I would say hi to her but that was that.
She used to do shift work I think at the Chelsea Hospital because she said she used to treat the professional players when they got injured, like Chelsea and Arsenal players.
Post-mortem examinations are due to take place on Friday to determine how the mother and son died.
Met Police do not think a third party was involved in their deaths, but it is being treated as a murder enquiry.
