Samsung Galaxy A Series Now Available To Buy In The UK

By :

The new Samsung A series is to Android users what the iPhone SE is to iOS users. It’s the closest you will get to the Samsung Galaxy S7, but with a lower price point.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are awesome phones, but what happens when you want something similar but can’t afford the price tag? you look at the new A series. They offer the same Galaxy DNA in terms of design, software and they are loaded in terms of specifications to ensure a good user experience.

Both the A5 and the A3 are finished in a 3D glass and metal frame body for a premium and stylish look. They also feel very nice in hand thanks to their curved edges. On the back, there’s zero camera bump, making it sit flush on the table. Elsewhere, they’re both IP68 water and dust resistant for a worry-free use when outdoors.

I also like the subtle UI changes to improve usability, for example, when taking selfies, you can switch on the floating shutter button in settings to make it easier to take shots no matter your hand size or finger reach on the screen.

Samsung Galaxy A5 is bigger than its sibling and offers a better camera option:

The A5 has a 5.2 FHD Super AMOLED display which looks vibrant and whether you’re gaming or watching videos, it offers a great visual experience that’s on par with some flagship devices out there.

Under the hood, the A5 has a 1.9GHz Octa Core processor, 3G RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded with up to 256GB using a microSD card – this is great for storing those Netflix series you want to binge watch on the go. Out of the box, the A5 is loaded with Android 6.0.16 Marshmallow, and Android 7.0 should be rolling out soon.

Compared to the smaller A3, the A5 has a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging. Not only should it last all day, you should also be able to get it back to 100% in no time so you don’t have to keep carrying an extra battery pack with you.

Samsung Galaxy A3 is smaller, but it still has a lot to offer:

Although the A3 is not as powerful as the A5, you still get a 13MP main camera and an 8MP shooter on the front. Both cameras will capture good images in low light, thanks to its F1.9 configuration. Powering the A3 is a 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which you can also expand with a microSD card by up to 256GB.

The screen is smaller than that of the A5; it’s a 4.7″ HD Super AMOLED display that is visually appealing and capable of displaying images, text and videos in a natural way for the best user experience. There’s also a smaller battery at just 2,350mAh and no fast charging which is somewhat disappointing.
