Have an ex? Maybe a love interest? Can’t stop stalking them? Don’t worry – there’s an app for that.
Thanks to the introduction of Facebook’s new standalone ‘Facebook Events’ app, we can now know exactly what events they’re attending, where those events are and when they’ll be.
Is it creepy? Yes, but also convenient.
Facebook’s new app will organise events you’ve been invited to on Facebook into a handy in-app calendar you can sync with your other calendar apps.
Once you open the app, you can scan new events by the Pages you like, see updates from events you’re already interested in, and see the events your friends/exes/potential love interests are attending. You can also browse event recommendations based on time, location and interest, according to Billboard.
And to make it all super easy for you, the app incorporates the calendars on your phone to let you plan your weeks and months ahead – so you can conveniently plan on going to that concert your ex also happens to be going to, without double booking.
On the flip side, if you dislike your ex, the app also works as a handy ‘avoid at all costs’ calendar.
However, everything you do on ‘Events’ will also automatically be visible on Facebook, whether or not your friends have the app, Mashable reports.
Apple users can currently download Facebook Events in the App Store — but unlike the Facebook Messenger app, it isn’t mandatory — and it’s expected to be made available to Android users ‘soon’.
