2017 marks the 10 yer anniversary of the iPhone, which means it’s basically been a decade since we all became completely dependent on the phones in our pockets.

According to the rumour mill and Express Online, the next iPhone may not be called the iPhone 7s or the iPhone 8 – as you might expect.

In fact, rumours suggest Apple will name their next model the iPhone X. The name is suitably sci-fi for what we can assume will be a phone with some jaw-dropping technological advancements.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook hinted at ‘exciting things in the pipeline‘ at the quarterly earnings call:

I think the smartphone is still in the early innings of the game. I think there’s lots more to do. Every year, I think it becomes more important to people’s lives, there’s more things people are doing with it.

There’s one thing we do know about the tenth iPhone; when it drops, Apple fanatics are going to loose their minds – and a sizeable sum of money – flocking to distributors to get their mitts on the new, improved touch screen.

The iPhone 8 – or X – is rumoured to have a dual-curved OLED display, all-glass design, improved dual-camera set-up, and no physical Home Button, which is a first for the device.
