When Bugatti unveiled the stunning Veyron back in 2005 it was one of the fastest and most beautiful automobiles ever made – its replacement, the Chiron, is even better.

It looks like we’ll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show for its unveiling, but a Czech magazine claims to have some preliminary details and it does not look like the Chiron will disappoint.

ProDriver magazine reports that the Bugatti Chiron will top out at 467 kilometers per hour – that’s over 290 miles per hour, hitting 62 along the way in just 2.2 seconds. Its speedometer is said to run all the way up to 500 km/h (311 mph).

Apparently Bugatti is tipped to make only 100 examples of the new car every year for the next five and, of those, 130 units have reportedly already been spoken for.
