Tired of dragging your suitcase around or worried about losing it? Don’t worry science has come to the rescue.
The Daily Mail report that the Israeli company Nua Robotics has designed and built an incredible robotic suitcase that will follow it’s owner around on their travels.
The case has a built-in camera sensor which allows it to detect where you are, and travel alongside you while on flat surfaces.
Even if you walk a bit faster than the case you don’t have to worry, you can always be sure of exactly where it is as the case connects to a smartphone app via Bluetooth.
Even better the miracle case will charge electronic devices on the go.
It’s even got an anti-theft alarm built in to draw attention to it if someone spies your robo-luggage and tries to make off with it.
The company believe that in the future the technology could be used for a wide variety of scenarios, including carrying customers’ supermarket shopping.
Disappointingly, the smart case isn’t currently available, although designers hope the luggage could be on the market in a year.
Alex Libman, co-founder and CEO of NUA Robotics, told Mashable: “We want to bring robots into everyday life.”
