Ed Sheeran joined James Corden for Carpool Karaoke and it quickly went south with some sensual touching from the Shape of You singer.
After the handsy intimacy brought on by the ‘sexy song’ that is Shape of You, the pair of Brits put Sing on and rapped in surprisingly good harmony.
Corden then challenged Sheeran to fit as many Maltesers in their mouths as they could, and somehow Sheeran shovelled 55 into the apparently bottomless pit that is his mouth.

Then they did some wonderful renditions of the classic Love Yourself, What Makes You Beautiful, Thinking Out Loud.
Finally, the Late Late Show segment ended with a traffic-themed rendition of Castle on the Hill where Corden saying to Sheeran that ‘everything about this song is you should be driving’, before altering the lyrics to ‘I’m on my way, stuck in some traffic on these bad freeways’.
Sheeran, the god of lyrics, was quick to give Corden some pointers, saying:
You said ‘way’ rhyming with ‘ways’. There’s a lot of work to be done there.
Thoroughly enjoyed the British takeover of Carpool Karoake – Sheeran flirting, food, singing… what more could you want?
