It looks like Honey G’s bizarre popularity has finally come to an end as her Christmas single has been a huge flop, to say the least.

Honey G was probably one of the most ‘unusual’ characters to be taken seriously on The X Factor in recent years, but it seems that her ‘hilarity’ is drying up…

Before the confetti had even dropped and Matt Terry had been crowned, the rapper ‘wowed’ the audience with her new single, but it doesn’t look like fans are snapping up her music.

Despite The Honey G Show’s first airing last week, the X Factor contestant hasn’t had much luck…

Her single bombed out in the charts, scraping in at a dismal 149, which surely means that boss Simon Cowell won’t be best pleased…

Apparently, all is not lost in Honey G land though, as she’s already got a second single just waiting to drop and the Harrow star is determined to make it work.

She said:

Believe it or not, one of the Syco producers has already written a second single and wants to release it in the New Year which is amazing.

I have the backing of Syco and hopefully this will help in my next step in negotiating a record deal with them.

What I want to do is negotiate a deal. We want to make it happen. I don’t think there is a specific timescale – I think they are allowed to make two singles with me, and then if they make a third, they have to make an album.

However, despite her seemingly dwindling music career, the divisive rapper was keen to bat away any rumours of her appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.

She hit back with:

Just to clarify to my fans. This is not true. I haven’t agreed to be on Big Brother.

Things are certainly not looking good for the star…

Let’s hope she can turn things around in the New Year. Or not…
