Warner Bros. TelevisionNetflix has decided we all needed cheering up in January to survive the post-Christmas blues and so they released all episodes of Friends.
The iconic show finally arrived on the streaming service on New Year’s Day making dreams come true across the UK.
And of course we haven’t stopped binge watching it for the millionth time since…
Warner Bros. TelevisionNetflix UK tweeted on December 30 a not-so-subtle secret message that even Joey Tribbiani could understand:

Of course everyone got very excited, got cosy in their BarcaLoungers, ordered a Joey special (two pizzas of course) and rejoiced that they could watch their favourite show non-stop.
Warner Bros. TelevisionHowever, of course millennials being millennials were quick to be offended by the decade-defining show.
Why? Because Ross’s wife left him for another woman and so his character had trust issues and misgivings regarding sexuality, Monica was teased about being fat when she was younger, Joey thought with his penis, and Chandler near-enough blacklisted his dad after he became a woman.
Amy complained on Twitter writing:

Christine Carr also took issue with the popular show tweeting:
I was a uni student in the 90’s so looked forward to rewatching Friends on Netflix over New Year.
But I agree – the ‘fat Monica’ and ‘gay Chandler’ ‘jokes’ feel very out of place now. And was Joey *always* that bit creepy? Disappointing.

Admittedly it is understandable why some people may find some of the show’s content uncomfortable in 2018 as things do change but Friends like every other television show is a product of its time.
To be fair to the show, it has been nearly 14 years since Rachel got off that plane…

Netflix saw what millennials were tweeting about the show and so decided to respond to them in the most fantastic way.
The streaming service took to Twitter and decided to reimagine the show’s plot-lines giving it a 2018 twist that perfectly trolls millennials.
They wrote:
