NetflixStephen King’s next book-to-film adaptation comes in the form Gerald’s Game which will premiere exclusively on Netflix.
It seems the master of fright isn’t content on ruining clowns for us after the release of IT, his next film adaptation is set to suck the fun out of kinky sex.
Gerald’s Game, which is directed by Matt Flanagan and stars Carla Gugino, is based on Stephen King’s novel about a couple who take a trip to a secluded cabin in the woods in bid to spice up their marriage.

However it goes horribly wrong when Jessie’s husband (Bruce Greenwood) suffers a heart attack while she’s handcuffed to a bed, thus leading to a frantic fight for survival.
The trailer is definitely a psychological mind-fuck, combining elements from two of King’s other classic novel-to-film adaptations, The Shining and Misery.
As Jessie (Gugino) spends more time handcuffed to the bed, she starts to endure visions and a breakdown in her psyche.
However the longer she’s trapped, the more she begins to question whether the visions are real or not?
NetflixIt looks like 2017 is King’s year to scare us all into an early grave with both It and Mist being remade for cinema and TV respectively.
Now with Gerald’s Game coming to our screens soon, it seems he’s not bored of making us piss our pants just yet.
