As fans prepare for the final ever series of Game of Thrones, the cast and crew seem to already be winding down and celebrating the huge success of the show.
We’ve seen photos of wrap parties and even had actors from the show getting married, but now, one cast member has got themselves a permanent reminder inked on their skin.
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the HBO show, has commemorated her character and time on – let’s just say it – one of the greatest TV shows ever, with not one, but two special tattoos.
The newest tattoo shows a direwolf – the sigil for House Stark – with a quote below it, which reads:
The pack survives.
Check it out here:
The quote is a line from a speech Ned Stark, (Sansa’s father), gives his other daughter Arya, (Sansa’s younger sister), in the first book by George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones.
He says:
In the winter, we must protect ourselves – look after one another. Sansa is your sister.
When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.
Though Ned Stark, played by the inimitable Sean Bean, didn’t say this line exactly in the TV show, Turner’s character Sansa reprises the speech during season seven’s finale.
Turner previously got a different Game of Thrones tattoo, which her fellow cast member, on-screen sister and off-screen bridesmaid, Maisie Williams, also got.
The pair were both inked with ‘07.08.05’ to commemorate the date they were both cast on the show, reports Insider.

Earlier this year, it was revealed the 22-year-old, who’s known for her sense of humour and quirky Instagram posts, found the time outside of filming to start an Instagram page in which she delves into the world of food criticism.
Her foodie kryptonite? Sausages. Yes, that’s right, one of today’s most in-demand actresses is busy spending her precious time reviewing and rating the best sausages she comes across on her travels – and it’s kind of amazing.
The account – sophiessausagereviews – only sports nine photos, but at the time of writing, she has over 40k followers, and her fans are absolutely loving her epicurean adventures.
As her bio reads, she is: ‘Passionate Bout The Saus’.
Sausages aren’t for everyone though, and other cast members of Game of Thrones have celebrated the finale of the show in a more traditional manner – a good old fashioned knees up.
Emilia Clarke was reunited with her Khal, Jason Momoa, as they got together and reminisced at a GoT party in Ireland recently.
Captioning the heart-meltingly adorable moment, Momoa wrote:
Moon of my life @emilia_clarke every time I leave you my face hurts from smiling to [sic] much. I f*cking love you forever. Aloha j
If reunions and tattoos (and sausages) like this are anything to go by, it’s going to be a hell of an emotional rollercoaster when GoT finally comes to an end.
