Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton, PA, branch, is apparently back open for business, people, and the Internet has readied the memes.
TVLine exclusively learned NBC is getting ready to put pen to paper on a revival of The Office, with the promise the reboot will feature both new and old cast members.
The show, which may come back for the 2018-2019 season, will not see the return of Steve Carrell as the World’s Best Boss, Michael Scott.
Twitter has responded accordingly with some appropriate snippets of the most gif’d TV show to hit the small screen.
Some were as elated as Scott at the office party:

Back in August, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt told Deadline that he’d been talking to showrunner Greg Daniels about the possibility of bringing the show back.
Greenblatt said:
We often talk about The Office, I’ve talked to [Daniels] four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘maybe some day but not now.’ There is certainly an open invitation but we don’t have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I would do it.
As TVLine points out, NBC‘s most recent reboot, Will and Grace, did really well.
The reboot was nominated for two Golden Globes, on top of the 27 nominations it got when it was originally on the air.
So it would make sense for NBC to jump on the bandwagon of revival magic; the same magic that has seen us promised a Jumanji reboot and the return of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
