If you’re somehow not aware, U.S. rapper Azealia Banks had a bit of a breakdown on social media last week, resulting in her being banned from Twitter, by Twitter.

The controversial 24-year-old aimed a tirade of offensive tweets towards former One Direction star Zayn Malik, and it caught the attention of millions, for obvious reasons.

Following this, Banks had run ins with a handful of other celebrities on Twitter, including a 14-year-old Disney star and pretty much the entire UK rap and grime scene after saying British rappers, well, couldn’t rap.

The feisty Harlem-native would not back down from anything and anyone, and while being continuously offensive, the tirades continued – until Twitter eventually decided to throw down the ban hammer.

So it comes as a surprise to find she has now back pedalled, and apologised for her actions. However I imagine the following Instagram post came after a crisis meeting with her team, but that’s just a guess.

Banks is still under investigation by the Home Office and could still be banned from the UK following her racial abuse of Zayn Malik, which, whether she believes it or not, would be massively shit for her career, or what’s left of it.
