Ho, ho, ho, merry Christmas – is what this cash point should have said as it dispensed free money on Wednesday night.
A Tesco cash machine decided to get in the festive spirit by handing lucky users double the money they asked for in Fallowfield, the student capital of Manchester.
According to the Manchester Evening News Tesco Bank have said the error was caused by a glitch, and they are currently assessing how much money they lost.
Their spokesman Mark Thomas said the machine no longer has any cash in it, obviously, adding:
We’re putting right the error made by the cash machine and will have it up and running normally again as soon as possible.
